Pharmaceutical chemistry department deals with identification, purification, separation & synthesis of various organic as well as heterocyclic compounds. In silico predication ofmpharmacokinetic properties of various heterocyclic compounds and various drugs also carried out by using free ware software such as Pass software, Chemsketch for drawing various heterocyclic structures. The prediction of percentage purity and standardisation of various drug molecules as per Indian Pharmacopeia standards using different sophisticated instruments are also vital function of pharmaceutical chemistry departments.
